Frequently asked questions

  • Description text goes hereOur treats stay fresh up to eight weeks in an airtight container at room temperature, twelve weeks in the fridge, and at least six months in the freezer. We bake the treats to remove as much moisture as possible without making them chalky, so they can last longer without needing preservatives.

We add in a desiccant packet (silica gel) to absorb any additional or introduced moisture, so keeping that packet with your treats in an airtight container will help them last even longer, but we’ll be you your pups won’t let that happen!

Click here for more information on desiccant packets and their safety, including instructions on how to “refresh” them to use again!

  • Description text goes hereYes!

Never give your dogs beer. They can have a toxic reaction to any hops that may be in the beer and it’s not a great idea to give your dog alcohol anyway.

While we use brewery ingredients, our dog treats are not made with beer. They are made with spent grains which contain no hops and have many other uses, including human food! We take extra care to ensure all ingredients are dog-friendly and delicious!

  • Our treats are made with spent grains, which naturally contain gluten, so they may not be suitable for dogs with gluten sensitivities or allergies. Most of the spent grains we use are barley-based, which contains gluten but is generally safe for dogs with wheat allergies. However, some batches may also contain wheat or corn. If wheat or corn is included, it will be listed on the ingredient list.

We use only dog-friendly, wholesome ingredients, so if your dog has dietary restrictions, we recommend checking the ingredient list. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out, and we can help you find the best option for your dog's needs.

  • If your dog has an unexpected reaction to any treat, we recommend discontinuing use immediately and consulting your veterinarian. Every dog is different, and while we use dog-friendly ingredients, some dogs may have sensitivities or allergies. If you'd like more information about our ingredients, feel free to reach out here.

  • Yes!

Our treats are handmade in small batches to ensure quality and consistency. We focus on using the best ingredients for treats that are both tasty and safe for your dog.

  • Yup!

Since we get our spent grains from breweries that make more than just one type of beer, the grains will be lighter or darker or uniform or diverse. That means our treats will resemble the color of the grains. Regardless of appearance, we’ve yet to hear anything bad back from our R&D pups.

  • No.

Our treats are meat-free by design, made in small batches with simple, wholesome ingredients you’d find in your own kitchen. They’re not meant to replace dinner, just to make your dog’s day a little more delicious.
